To prepare for the coloring process, you'll need Wella ColorCharm Permanent, a bowl and brush, gloves, a towel, an old t-shirt, a protective barrier cream (like coconut oil), and a timer.

For first-time all-over color application, follow these steps:

1. Section the hair into 4 quadrants by creating a centered part from the forehead to the nape and from ear to ear.
2. Mix 1 part Wella ColorCharm Gel 7N + 7NG with 2 parts 20 volume developer.
3. Starting at the crown, take ½-inch horizontal sections and apply the color 1 inch off the scalp through the ends, working towards the nape. Repeat in each quadrant, finishing in the front sections. Process for 10 minutes. Do not rinse.
4. Apply the color to all the roots and process for an additional 30 minutes. Rinse with warm water, gently emulsifying until the water runs clear. Shampoo and condition as usual.
